Invest In A Student

Program Support

Take Stock in Children scholars receive mentor support, guidance and support of a student advocate as well as unique opportunities to visit Florida universities and colleges as well as local businesses and organizations. In addition, Take Stock in Children University provides students with college preparatory activities and opportunities to practice life skills, employment skills, and leadership skills. A local investment of $7,500 supports these programs for the five years that a student participates in Take Stock in Children.

Tuition Scholarship

When Take Stock students successfully graduate from high school, and the program, they are awarded full tuition college scholarship (two years of community college and two years of state university) plus the scholarship differential which helps to keep pace with the increasing cost of college tuition. Students may also choose to use their scholarship to attend a vocational school. We purchase our Take Stock scholarships through the Florida Prepaid College Program using matching funds. Any contribution, large or small, toward this local investment will help a student. A local investment of just over $13,000 provides a full tuition scholarship for a student.
