Any size gift can help fund a Connect With A Classroom Grant.
The Education Foundation began funding classroom grants in the early 1990’s, and was cutting edge in the state when it began Connect With A Classroom in 2003. This online program allows teachers to post funding requests (maximum $2,000) for creative, innovative learning experiences for their students, which also invests in best practices to share with other teachers. The Education Foundation funds these classroom grants through the proceeds from the specialty Florida Educational License Plate along with contributions from clubs and organizations to the Connect With A Classroom Grant Fund, and through individuals in the community who view and fund grants for which they have an interest. This grant program provides remarkable opportunities both for teachers in the Collier County Public Schools and for community members who want to play a part in improving the quality of instruction in our schools.
Individuals, organizations and businesses are encouraged to invest in the creativity of a teacher to bring amazing learning experiences to their students. Click here to view classroom projects in need of support. Click here to view fulfilled classroom projects.

The deadline to be considered for the License for Learning funding, and other funding from The Education Foundation’s Connect With A Classroom Grant Fund, is September 4, 2012. After that date, you may continue to post grant requests for community consideration throughout the school year.
