Getting involved and supporting the success of our community’s children are how the Men of Distinction have exemplified their commitment to the Collier community.  As champions for learning, these men have been creating opportunities for children so they are equipped with the perspective, skills and values they need to succeed in an ever more competitive world.  On Thursday, February 7, we celebrated these 2013 Men of Distinction at an awards dinner hosted by the Hilton Naples.  The festive evening began with a cocktail reception, followed by the dinner celebration for 300 guests.

Congratulations to the 2013 Men of Distinction!  They are:  Dennis Brown, Theo Etzel, J. Dudley, Goodlette, Dan Lavender, Chuck Mohlke, Bill Ricigliano, Alexander L. Spier, Fritz Sullivan, Mario M. Valle and Allen S. Weiss.

For the 2012 Men of Distinction Awards Celebration, over $50,000 was raised to support the work of Champions For Learning.

Men of Distinction Golf Tournament

On Monday, February 4, The ACE Group Classic  hosted the Champions For Learning for its annual golf tournament at TwinEagles, returning host of the 2013 ACE Group Classic Tournament.  Players who participated in this exclusive tournament – in conjunction with The ACE Group Classic’s Media Day that featured 2012 ACE Champion Kenny Perry –  enjoyed a lunch buffet before teeing off, with an awards dinner buffet immediately following the tournament.  Proceeds benefit Champions for Learning’s Take Stock in Children scholarship & mentoring program. Scholars of the Take Stock program will share their stories, and guests will see the results of our community’s investment, and the future the students are creating for themselves.
