The recognition event has taken a variety of forms, from dinners, live television programs, and documentary style video pieces. While the format has changed and will continue to change, the purpose of the event is always the same—our community’s sincerest expression of the collective value we place on teachers, and the difference they make in our students’ lives.
This year, the 23rd Annual Golden Apple Celebration was a special dinner, to honor our teachers and celebrate the support that our community provides to educators through the work of Champions For Learning.
This community-wide celebration featured video vignettes on each of the six Golden Apple teachers to give you a glimpse into Collier classrooms and the talents of these champions for learning in our community. Teachers of Distinction, Golden Apple teachers, and Collier County Public Schools’ Teachers of the Year will all be honored this special evening.
The 23rd Annual Golden Apple Celebration of Teachers Dinner was supported by Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union Foundation, Mary Ingram Fund of the Columbus Foundation, Moorings Park, Naples Daily News, The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club, WINK-TV and Publix Super Markets Charities.
