Champions for Learning Education Forum

“It’s Being Done”

This community-wide event which was held on November 29, 2012 shared models of innovation that impact student learning.  National and local data, along with examples of what is working in local schools and classrooms were highlighted as well as ways to get involved and become a Champion for Learning.

Kati Haycock is one of the nation’s leading advocates in the field of education and speaks about educational improvement before thousands of educators, community and business leaders, and policymakers each year. The Education Trust in Washington, DC, works for the high academic achievement of all students at all levels and strives to close the gaps in opportunity and achievement.
